Epic Games have confirmed that Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 has been delayed by a week and the new launch date has been set for June 11 2020. The Device live event has also been postponed.

Fortnite Chapter 2 next season was set to release next week but that is not the case anymore as Epic Games confirmed that the current season has been extended by a week, which automatically means that Season 3 has also been pushed back.

The new release date for Season 3 is set for Thursday, June 11 2020. On top of this, Epic Games also confirmed that The Device live event has also been postponed and is now scheduled for Saturday, June 6 2020.

The Device is a unique Doomsday live event, which will see the Doomsday device at The Agency's HQ get detonated, which should lead to a major flood all over the Battle Royale map.

While many players will be disappointed with the delay, other may be happy to hear about it since it means more time to complete the Battle Pass Challenges and lock in appearance choices for Brutus, TNTina, Meowscles, Skye, Midas, and Maya.

On top of this, you have extra time to complete the Location Domination and Storm The Agency Challenges which were introduced recently.
