Fifa 18 finished last week at number one in the UK. Five new releases have made it into the top 40 this week. Forza Motorsport 7 for Xbox One debuted at number two.
Ever since Crash Bandicoot sat on the top of the UK sales charts for several weeks on end, this trend has been kept alive by those who came after. This includes Destiny 2 and now Fifa 18. EA's simulation of the most important secondary thing in the World has actually had a stronger week 2 than last year because Fifa 17’s week two coincided with Take 2’s biggest new release of 2016, which pulled sales away a little bit.
Five new releases have made it into the top 40 this week, and these include Microsoft’s Forza Motorsport 7 for Xbox One which debuted at number two. Forza Motorsport 6 also debuted at number two in 2015.
Microsoft
Forza Horizon 3 currently sits at number three thanks to the popularity of the ‘Xbox One S FH3 ’ hardware bundle. Destiny 2 fell a bit - down to number four. Grand Theft Auto V is still at number five.
The second big release of the week is Warner’s PS4/Xbox One The Lego Ninjago Movie Videogame, that debuted at number seven. This is the first time this franchise switches from hand-held console to a home console release, with the 3 previous Ninjago games appearing on DS, 3DS and Vita.
Nintendo’s 3DS Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions debuting at number 19, is the third release of the week. The fourth new release is the 8th title within the Professor Layton series, titled Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy, debuting at number 31. The final new release within the Top 40 is Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen HD for PS4/Xbox One, an update from 2013’s original release on PS3/360.
