Assassin's Creed Origins debuts at number one, surpassing its predecessor in revenue. Super Mario Odyssey became Nintendo’s sixth biggest launch ever. Grand Theft Auto V's sales were up by 129 percent thanks to Steam's Halloween sale.
launched three days ago, right on time to make it to the top of the UK sales charts for the week ending on 28 October. A similar story was told by Assassin’s Creed Syndicate two years ago. Origins' number of units sold is almost identical to that of its predecessor, the only difference being in the takings. Origins has its more expensive Gold and Gods editions to thank for that.
"The biggest ever launch for a Switch title" award went to this week, as it landed at number two. The trophy was previously held by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Also, the game has had a considerably bigger launch than any Wii U title. Super Mario Odyssey ended up becoming Nintendo’s sixth biggest launch ever.
