Ubisoft announced a new mobile game, Elite Squad, that is basically a mashup of all their franchises and it includes some of the most iconic characters.
Ubisoft Owlient developed Elite Squad to apparently be an action RPG mobile game which is somewhat odd due to the genre being closer to the likes of Diablo, Torchlight or Path of Exile. In this case, the player is not controlling a single hero that is being developed through skills and better gear but rather a squad of soldiers.
These soldiers are hailing from some of Ubisoft's most well-known franchises, such as Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell, The Division and Rainbow Six Siege. For example, the trailer below shows Caveira and Montagne from R6 Siege teaming up with Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell. Things take a turn for the weird when their objective is revealed - they are there to liberate El Sueño, the antagonist from Ghost Recon Wildlands.
According to the official description, players will lead these oddball squads in 5v5 battles through four main game modes - campaign, arena (PvP), events and guilds.
The full soldier roster has 70 members apparently so expect more weird team-ups when creating your perfect squad. Player's forces will be further augmented with 120 weapons, 120 gear pieces and 180 unique abilities.
The full roster hasn't been revealed yet but there are glimpses of someone in the Wolf outfit from Breakpoint and agents from The Division's promo trailers so it's not only the iconic characters that will appear - the ones with smaller roles or not appearing at all in their respective games will have a place in Elite Squad.
