Konami announced the arrival of the new season which heralded eFootball 2024 update, bringing along a few changes based on feedback and some systems that are bound to become controversial.
Anyway, the game retained the partnered clubs from earlier, meaning no existing clubs will be removed nor replaced with off-brand kits, stadiums or names. The wording in the update also hints more teams will become partners in the future.
Dribbling will now be easier and more responsive, allowing players to execute more successful dribbles in congested situations. To compensate, defending will also be more accurate which should, in theory, mean that higher-skill players will enjoy both sides of the game more.
Meanwhile, boosters are getting introduced to eFootball, which will allow enhancing the attributes of players beyond the 99 rating limit. We all know immediately where this is going and it is not going to be pretty. After all, it is designed for microtransactions.
There are three types of booster cards that will enhance an existing, trained-up card. For example, you can use an existing Messi card and apply the Free Kick Taking, Technique or Agility booster to it. Depending on which booster you choose, it will boost the associated stats, letting players get a card's overall rating to 100.
Celebrating the new season has its perks as well and login bonuses will include four Chance Deals, 360,000 GP, 60,000 EXP and 120 eFootball Coins.
Going through campaign achievements will give players up to 400,000 GP, 120,000 EXP, 100 eFootball coins and four Skill Training Programs.
