Snoop Dogg is launching his own eSports series named Gangsta Gaming League. According to the announcement, Snoop and his closest friends will compete in Madden NFL 19, and apparently, the use of cannabis will most definitely be allowed.
You probably know Snoop Dogg for his iconic music career and appearances in some films, but the man is also an avid gamer and Twitch streamer. He appeared at Battlefield 1 reveal where he played a multiplayer match, with inverted controls apparently, against other celebrity gamers like Terry Crews and Jamie Foxx.
He also streamed battle royale game SOS but with his latest project, he's taking a step into eSports. Snoop Dogg is partnering with pro-cannabis website Merry Jane to bring eSports series named Gangsta Gaming League.
The premier tournament was live-streamed yesterday - 14 March 2019, on Snoop Dogg's Twitch channel. According to the announcement, the league will see Snoop Dogg's closest friends face off in Madden NFL 19 for the chance to be crowned "TOP DOGG" of the Gangsta Gaming League and win a prize of the $11,000.
The players include Red Woods, Red Grant, JC, Tripo Loc, Lala, Shelton, Waniac, and Young Sagg. The champion will even have a chance to prove himself against the biggest boss. Apparently, there's a bonus round in which the winner will battle Snoop Dogg for a chance to increase his prize.
And if there was ever any doubt, Merry Jane website confirms that Gangsta Gaming League will be the world's first and only professional eSports league to allow the use of cannabis so "players can compete to get the high score".
According to Snoop Dogg, the gaming world is "about to be turned upside down" with his new league, and we wonder if he plans to expand it so other interested players can take part.
Unfortunately, there are no details if Snoop Dogg plans to add more games to his competition or when will the next event take place.
