Easy Mode for Elden Ring is one of the most downloaded Elden Ring mods on PC.
Shortly after the release of Elden Ring modder Odashikonbu released a mod for the game which significantly reduces the difficulty by editing some of the game's main combat features like attack power, damage and healing.
Named "Easy Mode For Elden Ring", the mod has been downloaded more than 50,000 times since it was uploaded on Nexus Mods. The mod has three versions, and each of them with different tweaks that reduce 50 per cent of received damage, increases attack power by 25 per cent and drops 10 times more runes and requires only one material for weapon upgrades among other things.
Given the popularity of this mod, it's safe to say that at least some PC players are struggling with the game which once again brings us back to that old argument - Should From Software games have an easy mode?
The answer is of course a resounding no since Elden Ring is already one of the easiest and most accessible From Software games. It features a wide variety of items and gameplay mechanics that can make the game a cakewalk. One of them is Mimic Tear Ashes, while you can also focus on Magic build and destroy everything in your path with OP spells like Comet Azur.
That being said, it wouldn't surprise us if From Software consider adding an easy mode to their next challenging title since their games have now officially become mainstream, thanks to Elden Ring. Long gone are the days when only hardcore From fans used to play these.
