EA Sports FC 25 will arrive on September 27 for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S platforms, it has now been officially confirmed. Here's what's new for this year's edition of the popular football series.
Division Rivals remains the core competitive mode for the Ultimate Team in EA FC 25; it offers the best rewards and serves as a testing platform for one's squads.
In the July 18 Community Update, the Developers announced new community-requested features, which include updates to Rivals checkpoints and rewards. They have also clarified how division placements will carry over from FC 24 into FC 25.
Checkpoints updated:
The game will reduce the number of available checkpoints in Division Rivals. As per them, this change is for the assurance that players actually play against opponents matching their skill level.
Updates to the Rewards System:
The reward system will now fall into line with the updated checkpoints. Progress will no longer be determined by wins, draws and losses; rather, rewards will be given out every week on weekly points.
Point System:
You will gain three points if you win, and one point if it is a draw. It's pretty much the same way as how Champions work, whereby even draws make big differences in the points for you to collect those rewards.
Division Placement:
EA FC 25 will utilize the highest division attained in FC 24 to place users in their proper division. This means you will not start at the very bottom on the launch date. You'll match up with players at your skill level, so you'll be able to earn higher-tier rewards sooner.
