Koei Tecmo released a minute-long video of their upcoming Dynasty Warriors 9. The game will feature an open world full of battlefields and cities. No release date has been given, but we do know that Dynasty Warriors 9 will be a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
Koei Tecmo announced their Dynasty Warriors 9 back in December 2016. The latest game in the hack 'n' slash franchise will feature, and build upon, a tried and true action formula of its predecessors.
The new title is going to differ from the rest of games in the series in the sense that it will have an open world that players can explore to their heart's content. The map will feature a mixture of battlefields, towns and cities. There will be more than enough bandits to battle and people to interact with.
All 83 characters that appeared in Dynasty Warriors 8: Empires will reprise their role in the upcoming game. One of the new playable characters will be Zhou Cang from Musou Stars. Dynasty Warriors 9 will also boast an updated combat system. Players will also be able to modify their character's move sets. A grappling hook will be at your disposal as well.
The visuals will include a dynamic night - day cycle and real-time weather effects. The weather will affect your enemies' movement and behaviour.
Today we got some footage of the new game. And it looks beautiful. Although short, the video shows glimpses of Dynasty Warriors 9's amazing scenery and familiar battle sequences.
The game doesn't have a release date to speak of, but we know that it will be launching exclusively for PlayStation 4.
is, can you imagine, the ninth title in the franchise that began back in 1997. Various titles from the series have been made available for different platforms over the years, and the game spawned many spin-offs.
