Koei Tecmo of America revealed today that their upcoming open-world game Dynasty Warriors 9 will be released in early 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
In order to properly celebrate the good news, Koei Tecmo took their significant other to dinner and a movie. Actually, they released a new trailer for the game. The new trailer touches on the Three Kingdoms narrative and showcases some of the game’s most popular characters traversing new environments, scaling city walls, and charging from rooftops. The narrative still hasn't commented on the harassment charges.
In addition to introducing the game’s story, characters, and locations, the trailer highlights the brand-new State Combo system. The State Combo system "offers players a wide selection of options during attacks. Flow Attacks create move-set combos that differ depending on the enemy’s position and seamlessly continue when enemies become prone, are in mid-air, or stunned."
"Reactive Attacks are extremely versatile and can range from counterattacks, dash attacks, assaults, to guard breaks and finish moves. Trigger Attacks are powerful moves that change an enemy's state. Attacks will change depending on the combination of buttons pressed" says the press release.
There's even a new character, Xu Sheng, a young, charismatic ruffian/general of the kingdom of Wu. Serving as a military general of Sun Quan, he played a key role in the battles at Chibi, Hefei, and the in the invasion of Jing. He was known for his "fake towers" ruse which caused Cao Pi to retreat believing Sun Quan knew of his attack and had the city heavily fortified beforehand.
