D&D: Dark Alliance got a trailer that strays away from the usual ones for games in world of high fantasy, delivering an informative but funny piece of entertainment.
Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is set for release on June 22, 2021. The game will be an action RPG where up to four players team up and kill everything in their path, hoping for good loot at the end.
All of this and more information was presented in the trailer below, which is also shows gameplay, by a narrator that undoubtedly won many fans over by cynical deadpan humour. For instance, he states the players are kind of a big deal since the party is the only thing standing between Dark Alliance and their horrible plans.
Speaking of which, the alliance is made of various monsters who want to grab a crystal shard that could blanket the world in darkness. Sounds generic and worn out? Give the trailer a shot.
There will be four playable characters for the party:
- Drizzt the dagger-wielder that hits fast and hard but also summons animal spirits occasionally
- Catti-Brie is not a cheese slinger, no matter how hard you might want her to be. The resident archer is proficient in combat both at short and long-range
- Wulfgar is the brutish wielder of a massive hammer and one of the frontliners
- Bruenor is the other frontline character who will serve more as a tank but can dish out some punishment of his own
The game will launch on Steam as well, so if you're a worried PC fan, there you go.
