Doom Eternal is getting its final DLC tomorrow, March 18, 2021, and id Software rolled out a trailer just for the occasion, which announces the end to your battle against hell.

"Your fight against hell ends here", says the trailer, suggesting the end to Doomslayer's eternal quest, but we suppose he can always turn onto the forces of heaven, right?

"You denied the gods and awoke an ancient evil. Now rally the scattered Sentinel armies, lay siege to the last bastion of Hell, break through the fortress walls, and face the Dark Lord himself. The soul of the universe hangs in the balance", the description reads.

As you'll soon see in the trailer, which you'll probably have to check out directly on YouTube due to the platform's parental advisory restrictions, there are plenty of reasons to dive into The Ancient Gods - Part 2.

The first of them, however, has to be the new crushing weapon, aptly called the Hellbreaker. Yes, it's a hammer, and it fits the big man perfectly, although we're not sure the "big man" would mean Doomslayer among his current enemies. You get the picture though - Doomslayer smash.

There will be no shortage of enemies for Doomslayer to pummel with his shiny new weapon, presumably culminating in the ultimate fight between him and what peculiarly resembles the Hell's version of Doomslayer.

Doom Eternal: The Ancient Gods Part 2 launches tomorrow for all the platforms, and you can get it either as part of the Year One Pass, or bought separately, since both parts of the DLC were envisioned as standalone experiences, i.e. you don't need to have the base game to dive in.
