According to the description on the Diablo 2 Resurrected listing on Microsoft Store, the beta is set to kick off on August 17, 2021.
Diablo 2 Resurrected closed beta should be happening very soon but Blizzard are yet to officially confirm all the details surrounding this early test.
The registrations have opened earlier this year, only on PC, but as we already mentioned, not a lot has been said since then.
However, it is possible that the closed beta for Diablo 2 Resurrected officially kicks off later this month. If the description on Microsoft Store is correct, the beta will kick off on August 17, 2021.
That's Tuesday in case you're wondering and it certainly is not the usual day for these types of testing. Other publishers prefer to do beta tests over the weekends, starting Friday and ending on Monday.
Whether Blizzard plan to run the closed beta test a bit longer than that, it remains to be seen, but until we get an official confirmation from the publisher directly, don't take this leaked date as gospel. It's totally possible that the date is just a placeholder and nothing more.
It's also worth mentioning that the date has been quickly removed from the description, which could mean the date is legit, or not. It's really hard to say.
Diablo 2 Resurrected is scheduled to launch on September 23, 2021, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
