Spearheaded by 343 Industries, the move to bring Halo back also has Splash Damage and other Xbox Game Studios teams on board.
The ongoing pandemic meant they had to transition to working from home, and if you fancy a look at where Halo is being crafted, you can do so on the lengthy MCC post here.
As for the PC information, the Halo MCC team successfully completed Halo 2 testing, with 175,000 Halo Insiders taking part by the end.
"All in all, the flight generated just over 2,000 tickets in total with 46 types of tickets or what we refer to internally as 'buckets.' This is a fancy term for similar issues being reported", they wrote.
The team is confident in the state of the game and said they're "looking forward to releasing Halo 2 on PC in the not too distant future".
They're apparently close to Alpha testing for Halo 3 and ODST, with more info to follow at a later date. The MCC team did say that it will follow the release of Halo 2, though, for reference.
If Halo 3 is your preferred flavour, then you should know the images you see here are both from the new version.
"If all goes according to plan it shouldn’t be too much longer now before Halo 2 officially releases on PC and then we’ll get ready for Halo 3 flighting! We will see y’all back again in a few short weeks", the post said.
