Season of the Hunt commenced in Destiny 2 but the new activity wasn't enough on its own which prompted Bungie to reintroduce some loot to satisfy the fans' needs.

Destiny 2: Beyond Light was off to a rough start as Bungie removed a ton of content from before and sunset the majority of the gear we collected thus far. These changes caused the game to feel barren, especially for a looter shooter since it lacked loot. The small item drop pools had to be reinforced and that's exactly what the latest TWAB touched on.

All of the Seventh Seraph weapons we earned while grinding out those annoying bunkers will be made available in Season of the Hunt as well. This should provide players with some interesting picks in the arsenals that desperately need refreshment for the power-enabled activities.

These were added during Season 10 but Season 11 planetary reprisal weapons will reappear in the loot pools as well so we will probably have enough to farm for. Just keep in mind all that loot has an expiration date - that's how sunsetting works.

Another annoying part about Beyond Light was the fact we could get drops that were already capped at 1060 power or their cap would be met at the end of the current season, potentially making us get worthless items. These legendaries have been removed from the loot pool so the expiration date isn't too short on the stuff you find.

Furthermore, drop chances will be higher for the items that are fresh so your loot will have a longer expiration date. In short, the higher Power cap a weapon has, the more chance you will have to get it.
