CD Projekt Red have officially confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed to November 19, 2020. The developer state that Cyberpunk 2077 is complete but they need more time for balancing and bug fixing.
One of the most anticipated games of the year Cyberpunk 2077 will not release on September 17, 2020, CD Projekt Red officially announced. The new release date is now set for November 19, 2020.
CD Projekt Red released a statement saying that they are fully aware some player will not be happy with this decision but they live by their "coming when it's ready" phrase even if it means losing the trust of its large fanbase.
The reason for the delay is simple, the developers need more time to balance the game and fix a ton of bugs that are the result of various and complex systems that the team built for Cyberpunk 2077.
And while this will come as a disappointment to many Cyberpunk 2077 fans, CD Projekt Red also have some good news to share. They confirmed that right after the Night City Wire event on November 25, 2020, various media outlets and content creators will publish their previews and opinions of Cyberpunk 2077 so get ready for first, in-depth look at the game.
The developer did not mention if the new delay also means a change of plans for next-gen release.
Cyberpunk 2077 is coming PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One on November 19, 2020.
