Crytek tweeted "They used to call me Prophet" line via the official Crysis Twitter, teasing the remastered version of the second game in the popular shooter franchise.
Last year, Crytek's servers were hacked, revealing a ton of information regarding the studio's unannounced projects that are currently in the works. These projects included Crysis Trilogy remastered but Crytek never really officially confirmed that they are working on Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 remasters.
So far, we got the remaster of the original Crysis game while the other three games - Crysis Warhead, Crysis 2 and Crysis 3 - have not been confirmed for a visual makeover. However, that may change soon since Crytek have shared a subtle tweet, which could be a way of teasing the Crysis 2 remaster.
The devs tweeted "They used to call me Prophet" via the official Crysis Twitter. The fans of the franchise will certainly remember this line, which is coming from Crysis 2.
So, could this mean that Crytek are indeed working on a remaster for Crysis 2 or something completely different? Well, it's hard to say for sure but our guess would be that Crysis 2 remastered is indeed coming and could be announced very soon, potentially at the Summer Game Fest or E3 2021.
The game would probably be developed by Saber Interactive, who also remastered the original Crysis and to be fair, the team did a pretty solid job, despite some issues on launch.
Crysis Remastered is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Switch.
