Crystal Dynamics, the developers of Rise of the Tomb Raider have joined the Perfect Dark project , The Initiative's debut Xbox exclusive that is still early in development.
The Initiative are the youngest studio in the Xbox Game Studios family and they are currently working on their debut game Perfect Dark. This espionage action game, which has been revealed with a CGI trailer last year, is now in full development and players expect to see more of it in the coming year.
Since The Initiative are still a relatively small studio with 70 developers, and the scope of the game is quite large, it seems, Square Enix's Western Division studio Crystal Dynamics will join the project to help with the development.

This was announced by The Initiative via their official Twitter profile, where the studio also confirmed that the game is still in early development:
"Perfect Dark update! We are partnering with Crystal Dynamics, the world-class team behind character-driven games such as Tomb Raider, to bring this first-person spy thriller to a new generation," they tweeted. "The teams couldn’t pass up a chance to work together. We’re still early in development, but incredibly excited to use this unique opportunity to deliver on the vision for Perfect Dark!"
Perfect Dark is an Xbox exclusive and will be coming to platforms where Game Pass exists, as Microsoft love to say. The game still does not have a release date but it's expected sometime in 2023/2024.
