Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! has been going through testing even before we heard about Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, and now Activision and King delivered the official announcement.

"Crash Bandicoot is back, but this time he’s on the run and on mobile! That means high-speed battle runs across Wumpa Island to save the multiverse from the evil Dr. Neo Cortex; smash crates, avoid obstacles and run into your favorite characters", the trailer description reads.

As the story goes, Dr.  Neo Cortex has sent some iconic Crash villains across the universe in order to establish control across all dimensions. Crash and Coco, who else, are making sure he doesn't, and thus the action begins.

Speaking of action, Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! is a mobile runner where Crash seems to be limited to basic spin and jump controls. It lets you battle the franchise's iconic bosses, earn rewards and so on, but King, Activision's mobile specialists tasked with bringing the game to life, made sure it's not just a runner.

Namely, the game features base building and weapon crafting, which should ensure smoother sailing as you get better. Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! players will gather ingredients on their runs, using them to craft all sorts of boomsticks.

King listed a few locations featured in Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! and these are Turtle Woods, Lost City and Temple Ruins.

We caught wind of Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! back at the end of April, when Activision and King were playtesting it for Malaysian audiences. In the meantime, the former launched Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time , so Crash lovers will have a nice variety of games at their disposal.
