Call of Duty leaker Ralph claims that Craig Fairbrass, the voice actor for Ghost in 2009's Modern Warfare 2 is set to reprise his role as this iconic character in Modern Warfare II 2022 but Fairbrass says it's all "news to him".
Call of Duty Modern Warfare II is reportedly the next Call of Duty game, with a release date set for 2022. It's a sequel to the Modern Warfare reboot from 2019 and according to rumours, it's all about Columbian drug cartel wars.
The information from leakers suggests that many beloved (and some not so beloved) characters are set to return including Soap, Ghost, General Shepherd and Roach. Today, Call of Duty leaker Ralph revealed that British actor Craig Fairbrass is also returning as a voice actor for Ghost, which if true, is massive news for all hardcore Call of Duty fans.
We contacted Craig Fairbrass shorty after the leak started spreading online like wildfire to ask if there's any truth to these rumours. While Fairbrass did not categorically deny the rumour, he did express some surprise at it, replying "news to me" when told of his apparent return to the franchise.
Now, that's what people under an NDA would possibly say or perhaps Craig is just being completely honest here and he doesn't know a thing about the next Call of Duty game nor his return to voice Ghost.
Whatever the case may be, we probably won't hear about it officially for quite a while since Activision usually announce their Call of Duty games in late Spring / Summer.
In case you are not familiar with Craig Fairbrass' work in the gaming industry, he appeared in many games over the past decade including the most recent role in Battlefield V, where his likeness and voice were used for George Mason.
Though, his popularity within the gaming community came from his role as Ghost in Modern Warfare 2. In addition to voicing Ghost, Fairbrass also voiced a couple of other Call of Duty characters like Swift in Black Ops and Gaz and Wallcroft in Modern Warfare.
