Marvel's Avengers is set to introduce several new characters via DLC sometime in the near future. Captain Marvel, She Hulk, Peter Parker, War Machine and Kate Bishop are all listed in the beta client files.
Crystal Dynamics' latest action-adventure Marvel's Avengers is currently available via open beta on all platforms and it seems that some players have found interesting details in the beta client, revealing several new DLC characters that could be added to the game soon.
Reddit user who goes by the name of 6plus4equals52 wrote in a post that five hero names can be spotted in the game's code. These include Captain Marvel, She Hulk, Kate Bishop, War Machine and Peter Parker.
Since Marvel's Avengers follows games as a service model and will offer plenty of free updates, it is not surprising to see such a strong lineup of new superheroes. One thing that we find interesting, though, is the inclusion of Peter Parker instead of Spider-Man.
Same goes for Kate Bishop, who is Hawkeye. It's possible that Crystal Dynamics plan to add other Hawkeye character Clint and also Miles Morales as another Spider-Man character so they use their real names for easier identification.
All in all, those who plan to play Marvel's Avengers regularly will certainly be excited by these additions. Sadly, we do not know when exactly this DLC will release.
Marvel's Avengers is officially hitting the shelves on September 4, 2020, for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will also arrive to next-gen consoles once they hit the stores.
