Marvel's Avengers private gameplay from San Diego Comic-Con 2019 has appeared on YouTube. It's a short video and it shows Thor causing proper havoc with his mighty Mjolnir hammer. Thor also executes a variety of combo and special attacks.
Earlier this month, Square Enix confirmed that they will reveal the first gameplay footage of their upcoming action-adventure Marvel's Avengers on San Diego Comic-Con 2019. As announced, the gameplay was shown yesterday but only behind closed doors, meaning that those who stayed home didn't get to see it.
Many players who are excited about the game will have to wait a bit more to see Marvel's Avengers in action but thanks to YouTuber named Mostly Variety, we have a small sneak peek at the private gameplay.
Mostly Variety managed to record a video which shows 40 seconds of Marvel's Avengers gameplay featuring Thor. As you can see in the video above, Thor absolutely obliterates a couple of foes with his mighty Mjolnir hammer.
He uses few combo attacks and also unleashes a special attack, slamming the enemy down to the ground with Mjolnir. At one point, he smashes one poor fellow so hard, that he ends up soaring into the distance.
The whole combat sequence is happening on a ruined highway, with destroyed cars, trucks and blazing buses all over the place. If you look closely enough, at 0:22 you can see Golden Gate Bridge, meaning that the story will take us to San Francisco.
At the very end of the video, Thor talks to a police officer at the scene, who tells him that he needs to help civilians who are trapped behind the barricades. Unfortunately, the video ends right after that.
However, one user commented on the video, asking for more footage, to which Mostly Variety replied "coming right up", suggesting that another video will be shared soon.
The gameplay video for Marvel's Avengers should be revealed to the public after Gamescom, which starts on 19 August 2019.
Marvel's Avengers is set to release on 15 May 2019 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Google Stadia.
