Capcom are counting down to an announcement until next week - Monday, February 21, 2022.
Capcom might be announcing something major very soon. The Japanese publisher have started a countdown on their official website , which is set to end next Monday, February 21, 2022.
It's possible that the countdown is for the rumoured Resident Evil 4: Remake, which was apparently scheduled for reveal in early 2022, according to fanbyte.
Though, keep in mind that Capcom have not officially confirmed that Resident Evil 4 Remake is in the works. However, it is entirely possible and probably logical to continue with remakes after the success of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 remakes which sold and reviewed well.
Resident Evil 4 Remake was first speculated by leaker Dusk Golem and more recently, we got the first juicy details about the game, which reportedly has a more spookier tone and won't be just a carbon copy of the original with fancy visuals.
Instead, Capcom made some changes so for example, the game's opening Village mission no longer starts during the day, side characters are more important and the story has been expanded.
Again, these are just rumours at this point so take everything with a grain of salt until Capcom officially announce the game.
Hopefully, next week we'll get the first details about this exciting remake.
