Players are encountering all sorts of weird issues on Call of Duty Warzone's new map Caldera. One of the issues is preventing textures from loading properly. Here's what you can do to potentially fix the problem.

Call of Duty Warzone's massive Pacific update has finally arrived with a brand new Caldera map, which replaces Verdansk's clod and grim setting with a vibrant and sunny tropical island.

But as always with big Call of Duty updates, the game comes with a whole slate of issues which vary from random error codes, crashes and texture streaming.

The last one seems the be very frequent judging by posts on the Call of Duty Warzone subreddit. And while Activision and Raven are yet to acknowledge and fix the issue, players have discovered that turning off on demand texture streaming in the game's menu can help or completely fix the problem.

How to turn off on-demand texture streaming in Call of Duty Warzone

  • Go to in-game settings
  • Select the Graphics tab
  • Find the On-Demand Texture Streaming option and set it to OFF

The on-demand texture streaming option basically uses your internet connection to download assets as you play the game which can result in poor texture quality especially if your internet speed is not great. Turning this option off can help improve the textures so give it a go.

If this solution does not work, you will probably have to wait for the official fix, which could be dropping in the coming days, since the issue seems to be pretty common.
