Call of Duty Vanguard closed alpha test will officially kick off on Friday, August 27, 2021. It seems that the first alpha test will be available only to PlayStation players.
Activision should officially announce Call of Duty Vanguard later this week when they are also expected to share details about the games first alpha test. According to the rumours, the alpha will kick off this month but only PlayStation players will get the chance to participate. It seems that Activision decided to make the first alpha exclusive to PlayStation consoles.
The information comes from the Twitter profile Call of Duty Vanguard News. "Call of Duty: Vanguard Alpha begins August 27th. Only on PlayStation," they tweeted.
This does not seem unrealistic at all since the same thing happened with Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. Activision announced the game with a trailer then showed us some gameplay and announced the Alpha test for the weekend. It's safe to say that they are following the same pattern with Vanguard.
If this is indeed the case, then PC and Xbox players will get to try out the game before the launch too, but a bit later.
More official information is expected this week when the publisher drop the first trailer for the game.
Call of Duty Vanguard is set in WW2 and it's developed by Sledgehammer Games. The game is expected to launch later this year during the Holiday season on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
