Our guess would be August or September since most of the time, Call of Duty open betas are hosted a month or two before the official launch. Last year's Black Ops Cold War had a beta test in October, prior to its launch in November.
What content will be available in the Modern Warfare 2 beta?
Activision confirmed that the open beta will give players an advanced look into the game's multiplayer mode. We expect to see at least two maps and game modes, including Gunfight, as well as a wide variety of weapons and other features.
