It looks like Treyarch made some New Year's rescheduling of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War features, as they announced that playlist updates will be going out on Thursdays in 2021.

Treyarch took to Twitter to break the news, where they announced that the following are coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on January 7, 2021:

  • Raid + Crossroads Strike 24/7
  • Gunfight Blueprints
  • Dirty Bomb Duos

Continuing featured playlists:

  • Nuketown 24/7
  • Prop Hunt
  • Face Off (3v3 respawn modes on Gunfight maps)

After an onslaught of user comments lamenting what they thought was the removal of their favourite playlists Treyarch eventually clarified. "These are the new playlists coming to the game for the first time this week. Nuketown 24/7, Face Off, Prop Hunt, and Fireteam: Dirty Bomb are also staying", they wrote.

Their partners in crime on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Raven Software, posted Thursday's playlist changes for CoD: Warzone, which is as follows:

IN

  • Plunder - Quads
  • Rebirth Island - Mini Royale Duos, Resurgence Trios

OUT

  • Plunder - Blood Money Trios
  • Rebirth Island - Mini Royale Quads

All in all, Call of Duty is heading for another glorious year, although it's safe to say that this time around, they faced very little competition from EA's Battlefield. In spite of extending the development cycle to ensure top quality, we've been hearing rumours that Battlefield 6 is not what the fans want it to be , which would only mean smoother sailing for Call of Duty.
