According to the latest leak from the reliable Call of Duty insider The Gaming Revolution, the next Call of Duty game will be a soft reboot, set in an alternate reality of Black Ops 1. Apparently, both David Mason and Captain Frank Woods.
Next Call of Duty game is set to release sometime this year and as some earlier leaks and reports stated, it will return to the Cold War and The Vietnam war setting as a reboot of the Black Ops series. Recently, a reliable gaming journalist Jason Schreier tweeted that one of the titles he heard was Call of Duty: Vietnam but also that he does not believe it will be a reboot of the Black Ops series.
However, in his latest video, a reliable Call of Duty YouTuber The Gaming Revolution has revealed that the game is indeed a reboot but with a major twist. He claims that Call of Duty 2020 will be set in Black Ops universe but will follow the events set in an alternate reality.
Apparently, there is a mission in the game that is exactly the same as one of the missions from Black Ops 1 but during the playthrough, a major event happens that drastically changes everything in the campaign and within that mission.
Sadly, The Gaming Revolution did not share any additional details about this specific mission.
Furthermore, the iconic character David Mason and Captain Frank Woods will return in some form. However, both characters have been re-casted according to the leaker.
As always, you should take these details with a grain of salt just like any other leak, rumour or unconfirmed info. That being said, The Gaming Revolution claims that he got the info from his most reliable source that shared a bunch of details about Modern Warfare and was spot on most of the time.
