Bungie's Twitter account officially revealed that one of the most popular first-person shooters - Destiny 2, is confirmed to be playable on the next-gen consoles.

While the year 2020 will most likely be marked as the quarantine year, most gaming enthusiasts will remember it as the year of next-gen consoles.

Even though all the news related to the matter have been received with a very warm welcome, there will always be a small concern, at least during these initial times of teasers and promos - will your favourite game make it to the new-gen consoles?

That was also the question for one of the most popular first-person shooters - Destiny 2, and luckily enough, we got the answer rather quickly.

Namely, Xbox took to Twitter to share that apparently hundreds of titles are in development for Xbox Series X and that there will be many more announcements throughout the summer.

Bungie, however, didn't want to wait till summer, as a rather quick reply to the aforementioned confirmed that we will indeed be seeing Destiny 2 on the new consoles. They weren't specific about which platforms they were talking about so it's expected that the game will be featured both on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

The current consoles were quoted to not be powerful enough to run the game at more than 30 FPS which means that both PS4 and Xbox players will finally get to see their beloved game in its full glory since it will more than likely be able to run at no less than 60 FPS once it launches for the next-gen goodness.
