It just so happens that Zane was one of the characters that were leaked before Borderlands 3 was even announced, and you can check out some of his action skills in the trailer.
Zane's Digi-Clone is a stationary hologram that fires at Borderlands 3 baddies, distracting them while the real Zane is keepin' it real. Once deployed, Zane can actually swap places with the clone.
His SNTNL drone can be dispatched to fly around and shoot at different enemies, or to unload some led into whatever Zane's aiming at the moment.
You can check out Zane's Barrier in action somewhere around the 0:42 mark, and not only does it protect him and his allies, shooting through it deals 20% more gun damage than normal.
If you prefer to stay mobile, Borderlands 3 will allow you to pick the barrier up. Note however that this mobility comes at a cost, and going mobile will decrease the size and the shoot-through bonus.
