Bloober Team's The Medium has a new, terrifying trailer. This time, the devs are introducing us to the story and the lead character Marianne as well as the two realities she can perceive.
The Medium, one of the most anticipated horror games of 2020 has a brand new trailer which introduces us to the game's story. The trailer has been revealed as part of Tokyo Game Show, which kicked off today.
It features the game's main protagonist, a woman named Marianne, who can perceive two realities, and a mysterious entity named The Maw, which will give you chills. This nightmarish spirit is the main antagonist of the story, and it's voiced by a well-known voice actor Troy Baker (The Last of Us, Batman: Arkham Knight, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End). You can check out the trailer below:
A good portion of the video also shows another mysterious character, a masked girl named Sadness, which did not appear in previous trailers and gameplay showcases. She resides at the abandoned hotel and at the moment, it is not clear what exactly her role is in the story.
The Medium will officially arrive to Xbox Series X | S and PC via Steam sometime in December 2020. It features ray-tracing and uses the speed of next-gen SSD to switch between two realities seamlessly, without loading times.
It's developed by Bloober Team, the studio behind Observer, Layers of Fear and Blair Witch games.
