Bjergsen is leaving the organisation he has become synonymous with and will continue his career as a player in a different team.
TSM has had several iconic League of Legends pros on their roster over the years but Soren "Bjergsen" Bjerg is easily the one who has left the biggest mark. Inheriting the mid-lane position from the team's founder, Andy "Reginald" Dinh, Bjergsen has consistently been a driving force for the most famous organisation in NA.
After playing in the same role for seven years, Bjergsen transitioned to a coaching role and his inaugural year found mixed success. TSM was one of the strongest teams in NA but they didn't manage to qualify for World Championship 2021 and around the time the biggest tournament of the year started, rumours about Bjergsen's future started flying around.
The rumours turned out to be true as both TSM and Bjergsen announced they would part ways via Twitter, where the heads of the organisation mentioned they made Bjergsen an offer at the beginning of October 2021 but the player decided to pursue a different project elsewhere.
TSM will now rebuild from the ground up and according to Reginald, they will focus on rising stars and new talent, which hints they are going the LEC way of shooting for success with homegrown talent, rather than an absurd amount of imports. The team will not consist exclusively of rookies but they will focus more on long-term growth.
Bjergsen has not revealed his next stop yet but the news will probably come around soon enough as the transfer season kicks into high gear.
