With the preload of Anthem's closed beta already available on all platforms, EA and BioWare decided to deliver one final reminder via a VIP demo trailer that gives players a brief taste of what the game will entail once the demo lands.
We're guessing that the instructions the trailer guy gives refer to that single story arc that BioWare mentioned will be featured in the demo, or closed beta if you will.
BioWare wrote that "the mission/stronghold/freeplay balance will be off a bit" as well, so it's something to have in mind should you be hopping aboard the Anthem train on 25 of January 2018, which is when the demo is scheduled to start.
That's of course if you've preordered the game or have Origin Acess Premium subscription. Otherwise, you'll have to wait until 01 February 2018 with the rest of the mortals, which is when Anthem will be having an open beta.
As for , we're looking at a size requirement of 23GB for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners. Anthem's PC version, on the other hand, will require 43GB of room, which is almost double of what console users need.
Taking part in both betas will earn players some rewards and, as you can see in the trailer, participating in the upcoming VIP demo testing of Anthem grants you three friend codes, so it's already a party.
BioWare wrote earlier that the PC demo will sport controls that are slightly less nuanced than those planned for the final edition of Anthem, although we're yet to find out exactly how less nuanced. The developer also dismissed the possibility of , as they plan to focus on frame rates at a later date.
