As promised, Bioware rolled out the 1.6.2 update for Anthem: Icetide just now and if you've grown fond of Icetide content, they've got some good news. Namely, Icetide Season is being extended to run through February 2020.
This goes for all the Anthem: Icetide content, meaning Freeplay events, Weekly Strongholds, Challenges and Seasons Store. It's a bit peculiar that they classified it under the New Features category, seeing as it's a continuation of the existing ones, but hopefully, they make it work with enough weekly refreshes.
There are more improvements coming with Anthem: Icetide 1.6.2, starting with the reduced waiting time for Time Trial races, which is down from 60 to 20 seconds.
As of , Tyrant Mine Stronghold is back in the seasonal challenge rotation. Bioware explained the delay writing, "This was supposed to be in with Icetide, however there was an issue that emerged in testing. We didn’t feel comfortable releasing Tyrant Mine until we could fully resolve this issue."
Weekly Stronghold challenge completion credit is now tracking like it should, i.e. based on completed strongholds rather than how many players are in the given session.
Daily Contracts challenges will now correctly grant 500 crystals, and the issue that prevented electric orbs from spawning in the arachnid defence annex of the Tyrant Mine is fixed as well.
Bioware raised the First Fog wall in the Heart of Rage, which should prevent players from getting score multipliers earlier than planned.
The rest of Anthem: Icetide's 1.6.2 fixes are as follows:
- Resolved issues with the Frost Master challenge not properly displaying whether or not Left Out In The Cold had been completed.
- Resolved issues with Collection: Left Out In The Cold being blocked by an issue with some wreaths. For those who are unable to interact with any more wreaths but the challenge has not been completed, entering freeplay will automatically complete the challenge.
- Resolved an issue with the Time Trials not tracking progress towards challenges.
- Resolved issue where players were unable to access the Seasonal Store from the Launch Bay.
