On launch, Battlemode will have five playable demons - Revenant, Pain Elemental, Mancubus, Arch-Vile, and Marauder. Each of these demons have their own, unique abilities that will over different gameplay experience.
For example, the Pain Elemental's ability to fly gives him a bird's eye view, making it easier to track down the slayer and attack from the air. The Revenant is one of the most versatile and agile demons. His jetpack and dash abilities allow him to move quickly trough arenas while his shoulder rockets can unleash a special missile barrage, for heavy, long-range damage.
The Mancubus is a big tank demon with heavy cannons, flamethrowers and huge health pools. However, he's not the most agile demon but can use smoke bombs to obscure his position.
All these demos can also spawn smaller, AI-controlled demons which fight exactly like the ones from the campaign.
As for the Doomslayer, players get a fully loaded killing machine with all his guns, mods and equipment. Glory kills will replenish Slayer's health, cutting demons with a chainsaw will reward you with ammo while torching them will add armour.

Once the Slayer kills one demon, he has 20 seconds to eliminate the other one to win the round. If the Slayer fails to do so, the dead demon will respawn will half health. Rounds are won when either the Slayer is killed or both player-controlled Demons are killed.
