As Battlefield V sped by 19 October 2018, the date when it was supposed to launch originally, DICE's general manager Oskar Gabrielson revealed that the company will be rewarding their players with two gifts - Oscar Mike helmet and emblem.
Gabrielson reminded that DICE so as to give it some extra polish and "act on all the feedback" they've received from players. Now, "all the feedback" is a bit of an overreach considering all the things that have transpired since that first trailer began , but never mind.
Anyway, Oscar Mike helmets are head gear pieces, duh, that you can strap onto any Allied soldier. The identically named emblem sports the iconic word Snafu with the A stylised as Battlefield V's letter V flipped upside down. It's a collectible emblem that when equipped, will show on your tanks, planes and weapons.
Oscar Mike goodies will be free for all players and awaiting them once they log in, regardless of the Battlefield V version they've purchased. The company considers it a gift for the players' patience, which is only fair since they've been testing it for a while now.
DICE also announced that Battlefield V has officially gone gold, which is a fancy way of saying that the game has passed all the necessary tests and is locked and loaded for shipping. In case you're wondering about preload times, the company posted a handy chart, which you can find below.
As you can see from the trailer, DICE managed to get Mark Strong as one of the voice actors for Battlefield V and to be fair - he seems to have done a great job by the sound of it. Heck, the trailer alone was probably worth his inclusion in the game.
