Battlefield 6 is the latest entrant to the Battlefield series. Since the release of Battlefield 2042 in 2021, this is the first major Battlefield title from DICE. The early reactions to Battlefield 6 have been positive, leaving players excited for the game's future.
While Battlefield 6's official release date is on October 10, 2025, players can get the early chance to test out the waters with the game's upcoming open beta. Here's everything we know about the game's upcoming open beta.
Everything We Know About Battlefield 6's Open Beta
Battlefield’s biggest open beta ever goes LIVE for two weekends only, August 9-10 and 14-17. Players who have watched select creators during the game's reveal stream on Twitch will have a chance to join Early Access alongside our BF Labs squad, beginning on August 7. Battlefield 6’s Open Beta will be available on:
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- PC
- Steam
- Epic Games Store
- EA app
Maps and Game Modes
The Battlefield 6 open beta will feature four game modes: Conquest, Breakthrough, Squad Deathmatch, and Domination. These game modes will be playable on Empire State, Liberation Peak, Siege of Cairo, and Iberian Offensive maps. These maps will be included in the 9 post-release maps. Unfortunately, the new Firestorm battle royale mode will not be available in the game's official open beta.
The game can be pre-loaded as early as August 4 at 8AM PT on all platforms through the respective storefronts, and you can start playing during the Open Beta Weekends:
- Early access opens on August 7 at 1AM PT
- If you signed up for Battlefield Labs before July 31, you don’t need a code. Just log in with the EA Account you registered with Battlefield Labs.
- Players who have watched selected creators during the game's worldwide reveal will get early access to the open beta.
- Weekend 1 opens on August 9 at 1AM PT and closes on August 11 at 1AM PT.
- No code needed; it's available to anyone.
- Weekend 2 opens on August 14 at 1AM PT and closes on August 17 at 1AM PT.
- No code needed; it's available to anyone.
If you're interested in playing the game's open beta, make sure to download the preload file on August 4 at 8 AM PT. The game will be automatically updated once the open beta goes live on all platforms.
