Battlefield 2042 and Farming Simulator 22 launched a couple of days apart but both games have the same peak player numbers, according to Steam DB.
Dice's Battlefield 2042 was released on November 19, 2021, to a lukewarm reception and oodles of outrage among long-time fans. Everybody claims that the new game's best moments are those that can be found in Portal, and feature fan-favourite maps from Battlefields past. That alone is a red flag we've been warned about before but looks like some players needed to check out Battlefield 2042 for themselves to know for sure.
Battlefield 2042 was played by 105,397 people during its peak which happened four days ago. The current player number sits at 40,203, while the 24-hour peak reads 65,972 players.
Giants Software's Farming Simulator 22 is itself a continuation of a franchise and both games have dynamic weather patterns but that's the end of its similarities to Battlefield 2042. Farming Simulator 22, shockingly enough, offers its players a taste of life on a farm, complete with the ever-useful Tractor on top of a bunch of different tools and machines aimed to make waking up at dawn that much more exciting.
Farming Simulator 22 was released on November 22 and managed to attract 105,636 players in the first 24 hours. 20,706 farmers are currently playing the game.
