Astro Bot will take about 12-15 hours to finish, developers confirm

Astro Bot is a third-person platformer developed by Team Asobi for the PlayStation 5. The developers prioritize game variety over adventure length, with a estimated playtime of 12-15 hours for the main game.

Astro Bot is Sony's third-person platformer following a cute little robot creature named Astro. The game is developed by Team Asobi for the PlayStation 5 console.

The developers of Astro Bot point out that they care more about the variety of the game than the length of the adventure itself, so it will be possible to finish it in 12 hours.

Astro Bot has not had any "big" games so far. Astro Bot: Rescue Mission could be played in a total of about seven or eight hours. Astro's Playroom was half as long as that.

The upcoming game, simply called Astro Bot, doesn't aspire to a long-term adventure either. However, it will be the longest Astro Bot game to date and depending on the skill of the game will last between 12 and 15 hours, it was revealed in a recent interview.

It is worth noting that this refers to playing the main part of the game, while more time will have to be devoted to the complete collection of all things and the completion of all tasks. It has also already been announced that the game will receive additional content after its release, which will extend its durability.

The developers from Team Asobi state that they could have made a game that would last for thirty hours, but they didn't want anything in it to be stretched and of lower quality compared to the rest of the content, just to make the adventure last longer.

They also considered an open-world format, but quickly settled on split levels across different worlds to bring more variety.
