Ubisoft have officially confirmed that the final story DLC for their action-adventure Assassin's Creed Odyssey is arriving on 16 July 2019. Named Judgment of Atlantis, the story will take players to a brand new location - Poseidon's realm.

Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed has been one huge experience since its release in October 2018. It's the biggest Assassin's Creed game to this day in terms of world size and post-launch content.

Unfortunately, as we near Odyssey's one-year anniversary, Ubisoft have confirmed that the game will receive its final story DLC this month. On the game's official Twitter profile, Ubisoft shared the first screenshot of the new location - Poseidon's realm - and confirmed 16 July 2019 as the official release date.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey's final story DLC is named Judgment of Atlantis and it continues from the events in the second episode - Torment of Hades - which is a follow up of a story that kicked off in the first episode dubbed Fields of Elysium.

Just like previous DLCs, Judgment of Atlantis is also part of Odyssey's season pass, but if you didn't purchase the whole package, you can buy the last episode separately, just like the ones before it.

Ubisoft are yet to share a detailed description of the new episode so the info is pretty scarce at the moment. However, looking at the shared screenshot, it's safe to say that the trip to Poseidon's home will be one eye-catching experience.

There's a huge amount of details put into the location, just like in all the previous ones we got to see in Assassin's Creed Odyssey. We still can't forget a truly spectacular sight of Minotaur's Lair.

Anyway, with Assassin's Creed Odyssey post-launch content wrapped up, Ubisoft could now put all their focus on the next game in the series, which is rumoured to have a Viking theme.

Of course, nothing is officially confirmed at the moment, but there are a couple of teases that suggest this is indeed the next setting for Assassin's Creed franchise. You can read more about this in our .
