Respawn Entertainment released a series of story trailers that detail the past of the upcoming Apex Legend, Newcastle, including one where he blames failures on his teammates.

Blaming teammates for being stuck due to a lack of skill or mental composure is a common occurrence in competitive games and you will see endless posts about it on various forums and social media. Apex Legends is no exception to the rule but the devs decided to have a little fun at the expense of these individuals.

Namely, the upcoming Legend is wearing a clunky helmet that obscures a significant part of his facial features. As such, Newcastle could be more than just one person in the costume and that's exactly what the origin story trailer below shows.

Before the Newcastle that made it into the Games, the mantle was borne by an individual who was evidently not good enough to make the cut. When pressed by his mob contacts about failing to qualify, he resorted to blaming it all on the teammates.

"Look man, it's not me. These crappy teammates are dragging me down" ~ Famous last words

Newcastle's mob buddies didn't care for the excuse and shot him before getting ambushed by an onlooker that happened to be a capable soldier in the past.

If you were wondering how a random citizen happened to have the skills, keep in mind that this is Bangalore's brother, the same person who took down a Pilot with her.

Knowing the kind of badass it takes to become a Pilot, this is no small feat and frankly, it was easily a bigger challenge than taking on mobsters in a warehouse.

In any case, we are getting the other Williams sibling in Apex Legends in Season 13, which is probably going to start on May 10, 2022.
