Respawn have released a delicious trailer for Apex Legends' upcoming launch on Nintendo Switch, and Pathfinder will be dressing up with a legendary skin just for the occasion.
As you probably already know, Apex Legends launches on Nintendo Switch on March 9, 2021, and from what we've seen, the battle royale has many fans on the platform already.
Switch owners will be getting the game along with a legendary Pathfinder skin, which will be available for a limited time only. We suppose it's one of those things that may mean bragging rights later.
It's quite fitting to have Pathfinder get some love for the Switch launch, as the character has become central to many a storytelling avenue Respawn have taken. In fact, he's received his own book in which he's looking for his creator by conducting interviews with Apex Legends' colourful roster.
Titled Apex Legends: Pathfinder's Quest, the book is often a hilarious take on the tin can's clumsy misgivings. His list of previous jobs and the reasons he got fired from them is particularly sweet, and it includes gems like getting fired from marketing for telling the truth, and being fired as a weatherman for correctly predicting the weather.
Apex Legends' Switch launch will support cross-play on day one, although we're yet to see how popular the feature is.
When it comes to shooters, mouse and keyboard tend to reign supreme to the point where it's unfair to players with gamepads and Switch variations thereof. Solutions like auto-aim have over time gained numerous detractors who find it simplistic and ineffective, but they still seem the closest we've gotten to levelling the playing field.
