Respawn Entertainment is enriching Apex Legends with another character on the roster soon and here are the details on both the big date and his abilities.
Fuse is coming to Apex Legends with Season 8, which is launching on February 2, 2021. This is when we will be able to play the moustache-blasting man from Salvo and enjoy the new 30-30 Repeater rifle.
Respawn Entertainment also released a video showcasing his abilities and offered a little bit more information on his background.
Grenadier is Fuse's passive ability. It will let him carry one more grenade per inventory slot and will make them fly farther, they will move faster and land more accurately. On top of that, you will get the animation unique to Fuse - he will fire grenades from his mechanical arm.
Knuckle Cluster is the tactical ability that will cause Fuse to launch a cluster bomb that will release smaller explosives on impact, which will then proceed to explode. It should be rather useful when running low on regular explosives.
Fuse's ultimate is The Motherlode. He pulls out Wally, the grenade launcher, and fires it in the air to launch a bombardment in a targeted circular area. These explosives will detonate in air and land after 2.5 seconds, giving the victims that much time to scramble for cover. Everything that lands will leave a fiery trail, which should make this an excellent area control tool.
If you recall the background story trailer, it left some fans confused since it was all over the place. However, the gameplay trailer's description put things in perspective - Fuse was successful in the Bonecage but always longed for competing in Apex Legends.
