A new trailer for Bioware's Anthem looter-shooter has been shown during Nvidia's CES 2019 press talk. The trailer focuses on Anthem's visuals, presented in 4K resolution and announces Deep Learning Supersampling or DLSS for the title.
Nvidia and Bioware joined forces for the latest Anthem trailer which puts an emphasis on Anthem's graphical fidelity, environment and locations.
The trailer lacks combat and explosions when compared to previous teasers and gameplay videos Bioware shared, but it still offers a small sneak peek at new enemy types and Javelins.
Most of the locations shown in the 90-second video have been revealed before but Bioware also unveiled a new one. As seen in the trailer the Javelin is fighting some sort of spider-mech in surroundings filled with debris, high platforms and metal and concrete beams.
Of course, the latest trailer is a showcase video for visuals so everything must look as good as possible and that's why the new footage is been shown in 4K resolution. Additionally, at the end of the trailer, Nvidia and Bioware also confirmed that Deep Learning Supersampling technology will be supported in Anthem.
DLSS is Nvidia's take on classic anti-aliasing techniques, a more efficient and resource-friendly technique which does the job faster than traditional methods. Simply said, it leaves more GPU power for other tasks.

It wasn't made entirely clear if DLSS will be a launch feature for Anthem, or if Nvidia will patch the feature in at a later date.
At the moment, only Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Hitman 2 support DLSS and Dice's WW2 shooter Battlefield V should also the pack pretty soon.
If Anthem looks interesting to you, Bioware will soon a closed beta test for those who pre-ordered the game and shortly after that, an open beta test is scheduled for everyone so there's your chance to try it out before deciding if it's worth your hard earned money.
Anthem is out on 22 February 2019 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
