Ubisoft have rolled out a patch for Assassin's Creed: Odyssey that sets the stage for the game's upcoming final story DLC Episode 3 - Judgement of Atlantis, upcoming Lost Tales of Greece and a ton of bug fixes across the proverbial board.

Judgement of Atlantis is a conclusion to Ubisoft's story arc dubbed Fate of Atlantis, which includes the previously launched Fields of Elysium and Torment of Hades, and the final piece to land on 16 July 2019.

Note that Assassin's Creed: Odyssey update 1.4.0 only sets the stage for the final piece of the Atlantis puzzle, i.e. Ubisoft will be deploying all the necessary files so that the launch on 16 July is as seamless as possible. It's a similar deal for Lost Tales of Greece, but Ubisoft's freebie episodes are usually peppered in between the paid DLC ones.

Xbox One players of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey are looking at a 6.2GB worth of data to download, while the master race and PlayStation 4 will need to download 5.6GB and 5.9GB, respectively.

The remainder of the update is reserved for bug fixes, and judging by the patch notes, The Fate of Atlantis and main gameplay quests seem to be the most prominent here.

PC players of Assassin's Creed: Odyssey will find they can no longer fight Hades again after switching worlds on multi-display setups, and the DLC achievements for Torment of Hades will no longer be locked in the Steam overlay once the conditions are met.

Ironically, some players found that the Idiot Hunt's NPC is missing from the cave, and we guess that Assassin's Creed: Odyssey 1.4.0 patch will make sure he's not the one being described by the mission's title. Good luck explaining it to his wife though.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey patch 1.4.0 also fixes a few issues related to Legacy of the First Blade, main story missions and addresses some misplaced textures as well.

Abilities, engravings and perks have been tweaked to eliminate the invulnerability bug and the bug that prevented players from chaining Rush Assassinations.
