Former Invictus Gaming marksman, Yu "JackeyLove" Wenbo, has parted ways with his team at the start of the season and has now found a new squad - Top Esports.
Spring split of LPL's 2020 season has been sort of a vacation for JackeyLove as he spent it without a team, although there is no doubt he practiced his craft otherwise.
The player's skill and past achievements were enough to land him a spot in another top tier Chinese team, Top Esports. At the time of writing, the team was in fourth place, behind the world champions FunPlus Phoenix, eStar and Jackey's former team, Invictus Gaming.
Furthermore, JackeyLove and Top Esports have some history from just before Worlds 2019. Invictus Gaming and Top Esports were running for the third LPL seed for the most prestigious tournament of the year as they duked it out in Regional Finals. TES came in second with a narrow 2-3 loss to it and therefore missed the biggest tournament.
Now with Jackey on the roster, it is highly possible they will make it to this year's World Championship and fans are hyped because Jackey is said to be shot calling in late game, which could further benefit TES.
The official announcement on TES Twitter didn't specify the terms of the deal and only stated that Jackey will start training with the team as soon as possible.
Considering that he is a new addition and that half the spring split has already gone by, it is not excluded we will have to wait until the summer split to see Jackey playing with TES for the first time.
