Some faces and names are destined to be remembered by the masses. Even those gamers that don't follow eSports all that much, know of Faker and have an idea of what he has done. Well, South Korea's T1 is keeping his fame for themselves.

It has been a rough couple of days for the managers of South Korea's T1, with them being in talks with the legendary Faker over re-signing a professional contract.

Lee Sang-hyeok, also known as Faker, also known as The Unkillable Demon King, ss renowned for his high mechanical skill and extremely versatile champion pool. He is best known for playing LeBlanc, Zed, Syndra, Azir, Ahri, and Ryze. He is the first player to have reached 1,000 and 2,000 kills in the LCK, the second to have played 500 games and the first to have played 600 games.

Lee is one of the only two players to have won the League of Legends World Championship three times, having done so in 2013, 2015 and 2016. He has also won the All-Star Paris 2014, the Mid-Season Invitational tournament in 2016 and 2017, and the IEM World Championship in 2016. He owns three different League of Legends skins as a result of winning the World Championship, which includes SKT T1 Zed, SKT T1 Ryze, and SKT T1 Syndra.

Luckily, after all is said and done, Faker will be on the roster of T1 and showcase his skill in the season to come.

It is safe to say that Faker is the face of professional League of Legends eSports, and eSports in general. His feats have reached mythical status, and not signing him would be a huge blow to T1, as can be seen from the statement the CEO of T1 gave during the negotiations: "These past few days have been a lot of sleepless nights and long conversations with Faker and his team."

It seems that the recent talks of eSports players' paycheques don't concern one such as Faker, and that was the cause of such long negotiations.
