According to Need for Speed Heat Community Manager Ben Walke, there are no loot boxes or surprise mechanics in the game, and there won't be. However, EA plan to release post-launch DLC in the form of car packs and time save packs.

According to Vienna-based publisher THQ Nordic, Saints Row 5 is currently in deep development by Volition studio. In their latest financial report, THQ Nordic confirmed that the game is the full entry in the series and not a spin-off.
