PETA launches Kitten Squad for Switch

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, or as they're more commonly known PETA, have released their game Kitten Squad on the Switch. Kitten Squad for the Switch is published by Arcade Distillery and is of course completely free.

Ajit Pai is the man who spearheaded the demise of net neutrality in the US, a move that earned him worldwide infamy. Many claimed that he's corrupt in the past but for the first time there might be firm evidence for such assertions.

Nintendo have shared a couple of instructional videos on their YouTube channel. The videos present and explain the possibilities of the upcoming Variety and Robot Nintendo Labo kits.

Monster Hunter: World for the Switch

Capcom's latest hit, Monster Hunter: World is currently available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One with a PC version coming later this year. Capcom president Haruhiro Tsujimoto said that they are aware of the request to bring the game over to the Switch but the odds of that happening are slim to none.

At the time, Nintendo was busy unleashing its Super Nintendo Entertainment System on the world. And now they are doing it again, with SNES Classic selling 4 million units.

After delaying the paid online service for their Switch console, Nintendo is finally going through with the launch. The paid service will become available in September 2018. The exact prices for the UK are still to be announced.

Nintendo's latest console has now surpassed the Wii U in sales. The Switch has sold 14.86 million units until the end of December, 2017. This adds up to more consoles than Wii U managed to move during its entire lifespan.

Nintendo is shutting Miitomo down

Nintendo is shutting their first smartphone app down in May. Once the service goes dark, its former users will cease to have access to many of its features, including messages and items they’ve obtained in the app.

Switch emulator announced by the team responsible for Citra

Nintendo Switch was released in March, 2017. An emulator for the console is now in the works by the team that brought us Citra - the 3DS emulator. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is already playable on PC, since it wasn't a Switch exclusive.

Bayonetta 2 for the Switch

Bayonetta 2 for the Switch will launch next month and will be compatible with Nintendo's amiibo figures. Bayonetta 3 is currently in development and will see the light of day as a Switch exclusive.

During the Nintendo Spotlight at E3 2017, Tsunekazu Ishihara announced a new core RPG Pokemon title for the Switch. Game Freak has been tasked with developing the new game. A couple of rumours found their way into the mainstream.

A new Zelda title already in development

Breath of the Wild is getting a baby brother. The new Zelda title is in active development, and the news was confirmed by the series' producer Eiji Aonuma in the new Breath of the Wild artbook. The book is only available in Japan.

DECEMBER 21

Nintendo Switch sold 10 million units

Nintendo Switch has sold 10 million units since it launched back in March. Among the console's launch titles was The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Switch's game library contains both exclusive and third-party titles.

DECEMBER 13

Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon for the Switch?

Pokemon Ultra Sun & Moon are now available for the 3DS. There is a a real possibility Nintendo is planning to release the game for the Switch as well. A mistake on Nintendo's website might have already confirmed it.

NOVEMBER 18

Nintendo's Q2 report - share value increased

Nintendo's reports for the second fiscal quarter of 2017 have been released. Nintendo revised their 10 million units projection for Switch hardware and bumped it up to 14 million. The 3DS family fared well thanks to the New 2DSXL, selling 1.96m units worldwide.
