There aren't many challenging missions in SpongeBob SquarePants The Cosmic Shake, but the mission in which you must liberate six hostages may be incredibly confusing, due to the level design.
SpongeBob SquarePants The Cosmic Shake is a relatively easy game in general, but there will be certain tasks that are rather difficult from time to time. One such objective is found in the game's second level, Karate Downtown Bikini Bottom, where you must release six captives in two and a half minutes while battling opponents and avoiding being tossed into jelly pools.
In this guide, we will attempt to explain the simplest way to accomplish this while avoiding frustration along the way. So let's jump into it.
You'll see the hole right in front of you as soon as the game tells you to free those captives. Inside the hole is the first captive. To save him, simply jump and splash into the rubbish pile, and he will be set free.

Exit the hole and turn right. There will be a massive hole with several enemies inside. Fight them if you like, but hurry since you don't have much time to liberate all the hostages. Among that large pit, the hostage is once again in a pile of junk. To set him free, jump and splash.

Out of the hole and slightly to the right are two karate-kick balloons. Traverse over them, and hostage No. 3 is just ahead of you in a garbage pile. Set him free as soon as possible.

Kick the door, but don't go through it; instead, climb the boxes and quickly glide right past the hole. Now go left, directly opposite the two balloons you traversed, freeing the previous hostage. Deal with the jelly guys and free the fourth hostage the same way you freed the others: by jumping and splashing into a pile of garbage.

For the fifth hostage, just climb the boxes ahead of you, but don't jump on the trampoline inside the jelly pool. Instead, glide to the left, and just in front of the kickable door is hostage No. 5. Use the same tactic to save him.

The last hostage is past the jelly pool with the trampoline inside. Don't go through the door you just kicked open, freeing the previous hostage; go past the hole, and the pile of garbage is just in front of you; you cannot miss it.
